Mawwiage. Mawwiage is wot bwings us togevah today...
I make them all out of cut paper on a plastic mask form base that you can buy at the craft store. It's molded so you get the real form of the mask in case you really want to wear it. They are mostly to be displayed on a wall, although I did recently do a drawing for someone who wanted to make the mask themselves. I may put it on if I can get a picture of it. I just sort of make the masks up as I go. I cut the paper withan exacto or scissors and score and fold or twist each piece to give the masks dimention. I cover the whole mask including the back to give it a finished look. I really hope to get back to making some more as everyone seems to enjoy them. Thanks for your kind comments.

What do you think of yourself?
Thankyou so much. They actually go pretty quickly. I cut the pieces with an exacto or small scissors and score and fold each piece. Then I start gluing them on. I almost always make them up as I go. They take anywhere from 4 to 6 hours to make.

This mask is really exceptional. You add lots of nice organic detail. The 3-D arrangement of the paper is great. All of the different shapes of leaves and petals flow well together. The punch of color on the flowers really sets the mask off too.
