This is the second of a two part set of animations. The first is titled simply Octoblocks. This animation started from a single piece I did for my Deviantart gallery called Octoblocks, which can be seen here:
darkestnightmare.deviantart.co... . It is a tweak of a fractal from Trenton Shuck, and his original piece called Structure on Mars can be seen here: darkestnightmare.deviantart.co... . Please visit his gallery and see his other amazing pieces here: trenton-shuck.deviantart.com/g...
The music I used for this animation is an instrumental piece by the musician VYVCH and is titled Dangerous Tonight, which is off of the album Crazy Fog. You can check out all of the work by this artist here:
vyvch.bandcamp.com/. I’d like to thank VYVCH for making this song available for use in projects such as this one. It is the perfect song for this animation. I knew as soon as I heard the blasting horn sections that this was the music I needed. I moved the color gradient throughout the animation like I did in the first part of this set of animations- Octoblocks. In the first animation I moved the color in equal steps however, but in this animation I moved it in varying distances along with making the keyframes in different distances, making the animation go fast, then slow and fast again. Amazingly, once I put the music together with the video the music went right along with the different speeds of the animation in the right places. If I had musical talent (which I sadly do not) I couldn’t have made a song match up as well with the video of this animation if I tried my hardest. I didn’t change the animation in any way other than shortening the beginning to make the first fast part of the song hit in time with the first fast part of the animation. I was thrilled with how well it matched up, right to the last second. Please watch the first part of this set of animation called Octoblocks before you watch this if you happen to read this. I don’t think anyone ever reads what’s under the videos so I’ll just hope it happens to pop up in line after this and then you can watch them in the right order a second time. I hope you enjoy all three!
