Well, I certainly have had a crazy year so far. I woke up one day with a sore foot and by night time I could not put any weight on it. I called 911 and was admitted to the hospital. I found out I had a major staph infection in my blood. It settled in my ankle joint replacement. I was transferred up to my hospital in NY where I've had 12 of my 13 joint replacements. I had to have my ankle replacement removed and the missing joint area cemented. Then to rehab for 6 weeks of antibiotics. Than back to have my ankle fused. I had not been home since January 26th. I have 2 cats that my neighbor and wonderful friend took care of for me. She is truly an angel. I finally got back home 2 weeks ago. I still have all of my Christmas decorations and trees up! They are going to stay up until I get my energy back. I go back up to get my cast off Thursday. I'm hoping I don't need another cast. This is the third one I've had. I want to be able to itch a scratch on my leg when I get one. I'm walking fine on my foot with the cast on. I hope I can walk as easily when they remove it. I'm almost back on both feet. Yeah!
